# WordPress running on DVD

 * Hi
    Just checking before I dive into wordpress that it will actually do what 
   I want. Can I produce a website (to do with the history of a club)that will have
   a few mainly text pages, but be primarily a photo gallery with lots of images.
   The images are to be tagged and searchable by the tags. That bit I’m guessing
   wont be a problem. The problem bit is I need to run this from a DVD, there are
   a few solutions to needing PHP and SQL, but has anyone used them ? I’d be a bit
   miffed if I produced a site that did what I wanted online but failed when moved
   to DVD

    I’ve decided to have a go at using LitePXP which will allow
   me to run php & sql on a dvd – i hope I’m most of the way to getting the thing
   set up, just puzzling over setting up the database This should entertain/keep
   me out of trouble for awhile – possibly

 * Yeah, it’s weird thinking of a read-only database. I think, in theory, it CAN
   work, but I’ve never tried it 😉
