    Hi there,

I’m not sure if this is WP problem or Theme related, but I use GYM – Sport WordPress Theme developed by CoralixThemes. In their Theme options, they have a General tab that has a section called “Styles pages configuration zone”. I changed a few pages from “no-style” to their relevant option, either Home, Class, Contact etc. I wasn’t impressed by the changes, so I set them back to “no-style”. This had no effect on the pages whatsoever as they remained with the option that they were changed to. When I chose another option, they updated, but when I set it back to “no-style”, again nothing changed.

The only option I eventually had to fix this was to permanently delete the pages and recreate them, which worked only worked temporarily – for no apparent reason, even though the theme stated they were “no-style”, they still kept the Home option as their layout template. On top of that, the permalink setting that I have (Post Name), somehow or other is still referencing the deleted Plain name, even though the link settings I’ve done point to the POST name URL.

I’ve tried to create 301 redirects but to no effect using the Redirection Plug-In. All internal links end up connecting to an _trashed page. Ultimately I would like WordPress or the Theme to use the POST names and in no way shape or form use the Plain name that have the suffix /?p=. Either that, or change the Plain names IDs back to what they were before the pages were deleted, but I do not know how to do that.

Any and assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Have made some progress regarding the permalinks…the GYM – Sport WordPress Theme developed by CoralixThemes was again the culprit as the “Styles pages configuration zone” didn’t reflect what was actually happening on the front-end. As a result, the Home Options was still being applied for some ridiculous reason instead of “no-style”, and within that options’ configuration was a setting pointing to the Plain Name, and not the Post Name.

So now the only issue still outstanding is the fact that the theme does not update the “Styles pages configuration zone” accordingly and CoralixThemes have no support channels available anymore – I think they’ve gone bust.

    Any possible suggestions?

Resolved the issue. When editing the page, on the right-hand side is an option for Page Attributes. It is set to Default by ahhh…default, but this needed to be set to “Home for Visual Composer”, whatever that is. Of course “Default” bares no relationship to the setting configured in the “Styles pages configuration zone”. Go figure.
