• Hi there,

i just did a wordpress reset, using the plugin with the same name, which was supposed to delete all customizations, and bring back the original WP default database, but instead of doing that, almost everything is gone, and whatever is left does not look anywhere close to the original wordpress installation. here is the error message

Fatal error: Call to a member function bind_param() on a non-object in /home/wpname/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfConfig.php on line 440

I just started the website, so I haven’t lost much in terms of value, but the time involved in re-installing wordpress and ALL the plugins is just, well, you know.

    thought you should know

  • That sounds like a weird plugin. Why not just wipe WordPress off the server and reinstall from scratch? Or is this “reset” plugin supposed to keep your data and other plugins? In that case, it would seem that before doing a “reset” you would want to at least disable all other plugins, including Wordfence, as well as doing a variety of backups. MTN
