# WordPress “read more”

 * I have a site here: [http://www.impressionsthroughmedia.com/?p=1326&preview=true](http://www.impressionsthroughmedia.com/?p=1326&preview=true).
   In the code I have the
 * `<!-- more -->`
 * in the article after the sentence “It is for this reason that people are moving
   en masse to the Social Web, and it is for this reason that you should be there,
   too.” However, the read more is not showing up on the above url as you can see.
   What do I need to do to get this to work correctly? Using 2.6.3 WP.

 * The more function only works on the main index page.
    When looking at the post
   from the preview section or by single page the more funtion is removed. Are you
   sure you arent looking for the <!–nextpage–> function which seperates it into
   pages.
