WordPress-Podpress-iTunes Dance of death. Please help

I downloaded WordPress about 4 days ago. I downloaded the Podpress pluggin about 2 days ago, and I still can’t get iTunes to find my podcast. So here is the breakdown:
I have filezilla for my FTP and the location of the folder containing my podcasts is:
nextgenpolitics.dreamhosters.com/podcast

I tried to use the podcast feed URL on the podpress feed and I got it vaildated when I typed in:
http://www.nextgenpolitics.dreamhosters.com/?feed=podcast
But I’ve read that you don’t even want to use that window. Now, I’ll be the first to admit I have no idea what any of this means and when I see on some forums people talking about changing code I start to have a panic attack. I don’t even know where the code is to change.

I can make the name “Next Gen Politics” show up on my podcast list, but no shows will update and I get the circle exclamation mark of death when it tries to update.

Can someone please walk me through this so I can learn how to set it up? I promise that I will help others out after..lol. I’m just a total newb at this and can’t read the instructions on forums that I’ve visited because everyones base knowledge on the topic is much higher than mine. Everyone seems to be starting, with there instructions, as if the readers are all programers. Please help! I just want to publish!
