# WordPress Plugin Attack

 * Hi All,
 *  I’m not a WordPress user but our website has suddenly received a lot of bogus
   traffic from thousands of IP addresses.
 *  After researching the cause, it seems that the one thing in common is that all
   of the bogus traffic only comes from WordPress websites. The traffic appears 
   to be accessing one of our APIs, for no apparent reason.
 *  I’m not sure if the traffic is intentional or if it’s due to a buggy WordPress
   plugin.
 *  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 * I just was notified about this from a host for one of my clients. Its an old 
   version of tweetbacks plugin causing issues. The new version of this plugin I
   see doesn’t check your site. I have turned off the plugin for my client so it
   doesn’t access your site.

 * I was just notified about this for one of my client blogs. It is an old version
   of the tweetback plugin. The new version of this plugin doesn’t access your site.
