Are you looking for the ability to read or post via PDA? WordPress is viewable via PDA and has been for a long time. Theme designers who “really” know what they are doing should add a styles for PDAs (handheld media), which would really expand this capability, but most don’t think further than the screen, which is the most common usage. I’m working on my handheld version right now, after finally finishing the print.css version.
As for posting, there were plugins for posting via PDAs for 1.2, but give a search for WordPress and PDA Plugin might find you a new version for 1.5.
If you’re looking to post from a PDA/Smartphone then have a look at the application that I wrote
It’s called BlogSmart and is available at http://www.0gravity.co.uk/blogsmart Uses the .NET Compact Framework so should work on any Windows Mobile device.
Cheers,
Alistair
Lorell, thank you. I just want to be viewable via PDA (my site is viewable at the moment via WAP too). So, tell me more, where I can find that script, is it easy? Also, how make the style, so the page will have some colours, ect?
phialy, i have placed the .exe thing and the other 2 files under my root directory of my WordPress, the link is http://www.justshannen.com/site/xmlrpc.php why i get that message? The other site http://www.justshannen.com can i access it without placing a code or something like i did for the one to post things?
For a mobile/PDA version of your blog, you might want to check out Alex King’s WordPress Mobile Edition plugin:

Thanks Kafkaesqui, I uploaded that script on my site, but can I add colours, ect. so someone who enteres my site http://www.justshannen.com via a PDA can see a colourful and nice page, not only that white background with black text 🙂
Just start playing with the wp-mobile.css file. Just note that what css properties are supported depend on the PDA browser. Here’s one site I’m aware of that details css support in several:

This may be helpful in designing for PDAs:

Now what about a posting program that doesn’t use the proprietary .Net framework? PalmOS is still the “big guy” on the PDA campus, doncha know 😉
But .NET is so nice to develop for! Could come up with a J2ME version if anyone wanted? Email me alistair (who is at) 0gravity.co.uk
