WordPress on localhost wont install importer / Askimet

    wampserver 2.1
    Apache 2.2.17
    Php 5.3.4
    Mysql 5.1.53
    Wordpress 3.1.3

    installed wordpress on localhost (c:\wamp\www\wordpress)
    can access the blog, and make posts
    want to import wordpress blog
    went to tools > import > wordpress

    hangs on “Install importer”
    also, I activated askimet, obtained key from website
    and when i click on enter key, it hangs, then does nothing.

    please help. Thanks.
