 * Hi
 * I have a main domain [http://www.myprimarydomain.co.uk](http://www.myprimarydomain.co.uk)
   with WordPress & Builder theme installed sucessfully.
 * I have created an addon domain with the help of my hosting provider and I have
   installed a new instance of WordPress on that addon domain – and its almost working
   fine.
 * I can get to the addon WordPress site using [http://www.addondomain.co.uk/wordpress/](http://www.addondomain.co.uk/wordpress/)
 * The problem is that when I go into the WordPress dashboard Settings/General tab
   to change the location of the home page to [http://www.addondomain.co.uk](http://www.addondomain.co.uk)
   the site will not load using that URL.
 * The main site ([http://www.myprimarydomain.co.uk](http://www.myprimarydomain.co.uk))
   has the same settings and works fine.
 * I am on wordpress 3.03 – is this problem something to do with multisite (I have
   not set that up) or is it to do with using addon domains – does anyone know how
   to get it working?
 * Or is it something to do with the index.php?
 * Any help will be most appriciated

 * Looks like you have installed wordpress in a folder called wordpress in your
   addon domain name.
 * Your primary domain name root is public_html if you using cpanel
    for your addon
   domain name you should have folder in public_html as root.
 * You will have move content of wordpress out of it in to add on domain name folder
   to use it like you using your primary domian name.

 * Thanks govpatel
 * I am a more of a windows guy so know nothing of these unix/web things. So I am
   not sure I understand everything that you said. Looking in Cpanel I have a folder
   called public_HTML and within that folder I have a number of sub-directories.
   I have one directory for my add-on domain, and within that I have a wordpress
   directory. Also within the public_HTML directory I have another wordpress instalation
   which holds my main site.
 * My problem is that I want to be able to access [http://www.addondomain.co.uk](http://www.addondomain.co.uk)
   but can’t. I can access it via [http://www.addondomain.co.uk/wordpress](http://www.addondomain.co.uk/wordpress)

 * That is why [http://www.addondomain.co.uk/wordpress](http://www.addondomain.co.uk/wordpress)
   is working
    You need the content of that wordpress in the addon directory
 * You will find instructions here

 * Thanks for your help Govpatel, you are right I can see the mistake I have made.
 * I did create a folder in the addon domain called “wordpress” and this was my
   problem. I removed wordpress and re-installed it in the root of my addon domain.
   Everything is working find now.
 * Thanks again for you help
