WordPress offline on Local Host, interaction with filezilla & XAMPP

    @pietroguiotto

    I need to run wordpress offline and i would like to be able to upload all the (files, data or whatever..) on it using filezilla.
    The problem is that i can’t configure filezilla to connect to my local host. I’m wondering what is wrong..

    Should i use filezilla client? Should i use filezilla server? Should i use them both? How am i supposed to configure XAMPP and Filezilla, so they can interact letting me to connect to the localhost via Filezila?

    I just would like to have an exact copy of my online site in an offline version

    (What is the best way to do that? Any alternatives to XAMPP?)

    i repeat

    I just would like to have an exact copy of my online site in an offline version. So i can make faster changes without affecting the online one.

    I’m lost guys..

    Anyway i’m running windows 7.

    Any help would be much appreciated!

    Why do you need to use FTP on a local server? You can just drop the relevant folders into the right place.
