WordPress not showing translations from codestyling localization

WordPress is not showing the translations made via Codestyling localization. The plugin is correctly saving the .mo file on wp-content/languages and the translation has been saved and is shown when looked for.

I’m using oldPaper Theme and the tranlsations made to the theme strings are showing without problem, the only ones giving trouble are the ones already saved on WordPress.

for example, the ‘uncategorized’ string is staying as such even though the translation for ‘sin categoria’ is already saved.

hope anyone can help me with this, i’ve been busting my head open on ftp and wordpress alike.
