Support » Fixing WordPress » wordpress not saving form code in code editor

  • I’m sure this question has been asked a thousand times, but when I search, or post a question with the above title, no answer is presented.

A few weeks ago, I was able to save Paypal form code into the WordPress paged editor’s code tab.

Now, when I try to save the Paypal form code, it is stripped back to:

    <form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post" target="_top"><img alt="" border="0" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_AU/i/scr/pixel.gif" width="1" height="1"></form>

    Any ideas?

  • You must switch from “Visual” mode to “Text” mode of the editor and them paste your form code.
Your can find these two buttons at top right corner of the editor.

This has been done originally, and the symptom remains.

If you have recently activated any plugin or changed your theme; try deactivating plugin or switching theme to old one.
The problem may be in functionality that strips HTML code to text present in newly activated theme or plugin.

Or check your HTML code for any invalid characters before adding it to the editor. Best way instead copy and pasting code to editor try typing it there.
