wordpress not creating permalink directories

Hi, if you visit my blog I am trying to get running, there is a huge problem. If you click my test post title, you get a 404 error. WP does not seem to be creating directories for my permalinks. Example: When I post, the title of the post links to a directory that does not exist. I thought WP was supposed to automatically create these directories for permalinks, but I don’t see an option to do this anywhere.

It tries to link to: http://www.bluebomber.com/sea/2007/10/30/testing-123/

However, there is no such directory.

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Well, I just clicked on it and it worked perfectly.

Permalinks aren’t directories. They have nothing to do with directories. They’re just the way that WP uses to find the post in the database.
