WordPress Newbie SEO Q… better embedded or hosted, etc

  • Hi, I’m a newbie, as you can tell. I’m exploring whether to use Blogger vs WordPress and have been told WP has much more capabilities. So now my next Q is whether to use the hosting services of WP and link from my website Or embed my blog within my website.. On this, however, I’ve gotten contradictory info… on the one hand I’ve been to told to embed it in my website to enhance SEO for my site (I suppose by adding more content) On the other hand, I understand that All blogs (including WP’s) operate on “frames” and that frames are not SEO friendly, as the search engines spiders can only go to main (uppermost) frame.. Is this true, or does a search engine typically search all the posts of a WP blog? thanks, Eric

    That’s BS… sorry.
You understand nothing. WP has never “operate” on frames.

Furthermore, “embed” is a wrong word here. If you have a site, install WP either in root – if you want to manage the whole site with it; or in a subfolder (e.g. blog) – if you want to have a blog in a subdir.

The self hosted blogs have the most options for customizing.

[moved to Miscell – nothing “advanced” here]
