    Hi there,

I really didn’t want to end up on a forum and thought this was something i could complete myself. But here we are. 🙁

I have just set up multisite on my client’s primary domain careyindustrial.com.au. In addition to this there are 6 other domains that will use similar themes and database structure but for a few minor differences e.g. colour scheme, logo and copy.

I can access the ‘Add New Site’ section of the dashboard but am only presented with an option for subdomains.

Is Multisite right for what I am trying to achieve?
Do the other domains use the same wordpress installation or do there wordpress istallations sit in seperate folders and then the admin system links to those?

    Thanks for any help,

    Phil

Sorry do they also have there own database or use the primary one?

Hi, I’m no expert, but WordPress multisite is only for multiple sites using subdomains and directories. A key example being to let an end user create a (sub)site for himself. I don’t think you can run the same installation against multiple domains.
