I just tried making a test sub directory page and it's giving me the 404 error. Anyone know what I should do? Thanks. http://test.classicgaming.tv/wp-admin/

  2. 404's are usually the result of improper file or server permissions.

First, I would check and make sure your file permissions are correct.

How would I go about doing that? I'm really new to WordPress MS. Thanks.

  4. Did you add the subdomain to your Site5 hosting account? There doesn't seem to be anything inside the test subdomain folder.

Oh. I would have to add that subdomain to my Site5? See, what I was attempting to test was whether or not registered users could make their own site at my site and have their own page to upload wallpaper and for them to stream their live video on it. Kind of like what they do at UStream and Twitch TV.

Should I switch it from subdomain to subdirectory?

  6. Ah, I see you are using WordPress Multisite. Please read through http://codex.wordpress.org/Before_You_Create_A_Network#Server_Requirements

    Thank you Patrick and Josh.

Honestly I think I'd rather just switch it to subdirectories instead of subdomains. It seems like a lot less trouble. And, for what I'm doing it would make better sense I would think. So, I would prefer it to be like this: http://www.classicgaming.tv/test1

Is there anyway I can change it to subdirectories?

  8. I've never switched after initial implementation; however, it should work fine. See http://codex.wordpress.org/Multisite_Network_Administration#Switching_network_types . Please let me know if that works out for you.
