    hello -

this is my first post and i apologize if this is not the correct forum.

i installed mu and it installed perfectly in under a minute.

    my question:

i can host as many domains as i want to. is it possible to "hide" the common (or parent) domain name for wordpress?

in other words, lets say I installed wordpress under:

and one of my new shared blogs was created using the name:

but i want to access the new blog using:
http://myChildBlog.com (i made this domain name up)

i am able to use apache redirect to get this to work and that works great, but i want to "hide" the parents domain name.

    has anybody done this?

    thanks in advance!

    Hi Mark,

Yes you can hide the first link when you install wordpress for domains or subdomains.
home/public_html/mychildblog to be public on public folder or
    home/mychildblog to be hidden.

I hope you did install the wordpress on:

    So, try installing it at:

    That's it.

I did the same on my website:

    In there I added a sub-domain.

http://www.myaccount.digitalshoptime.com where usually it should be:
home/public_html/myaccount to be public on public folder or
    home/myaccount to be hidden.
