• I have a couple of question about installing WordPress MU on 3.0.1. My web provider, Hostgator, does allow this installation and have a question. I mainly want to use this for my small network of blogs and need some questions asked while I’m backing up my site.

    – What’s the difference between sub-domain and sub-directory? I only want to use a domain.

    – Can I have plugins work on one directory and not the rest? And maybe have one plugin work across the network?

    Thanks for the help,
    Greg

You still have to pick on to start with, so close your eyes and throw a dart. 🙂

All sites have access to the same plugins folder. Activate them on a per blog basis or network wide (tho network activation means the plguin is turned on on all blogs, not transferring all settings).

you’re running a mini version of wordpress.COM. If you’ve ever tried a blog out over there, works very similar.
