• Hi everyone,

I am about to install WordPress MU to my webserver and I will be running multiple blogs from within different subdomains. So for example I want to have blogs like, blog#1.mysite.com, blog#2.mysite.com, blog#3.mysite,com, but I want my regular website at http://www.mysite.com.

In the README.txt file that comes with WordPress MU it states the following under the INSTALL category.

“3. Unzip to an empty folder, either in the main directory, or in a
subdirectory. If you want subdomain blogs, you must use the root of
    your site.”

I am confused at what to do here, because -> “If you want subdomain blogs, you must use the root of your site.” tells me that I need to install wordpress MU to the root level of my domain, but if I do that how will my webpage show at http://www.mysite.com. I don’t want a blog to be running at http://www.mysite.com I only want them to be in subdomains.

Any help with clearing my confusion about this or steering me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You,

    Spec36
