    hi ipstenu,

its to avoid the use of ms-files.php

i have the dns in cloudflare, so the files are server from his cdn

but when it clears the cache I have peaks that consume 50% of CPU, this is ok right now, but not when i double visits (hopefully)

i think ms-files.php consumes resources unnecessarily i do not add any advantage in SEO and usability

then I want to avoid using the ms-files, before i get trouble again

I still do not understand why wordpress has ms-files.php

    thanks for help!

Aweosme :) Okay, you need to do this with a plugin!

    http://blog.cloudflare.com/introducing-the-cloudflare-wordpress-plugin

You'll want to activate it persite I believe, and I've heard there's some manual jiggering that needs doing.

(The short version of why we have ms-files is that it allows everyone to have a cleaner URL of site.com/subsite/files/2012/06/image.jpg - There are plans to replace it!)

hello ipstenu. I still have problems with the server. I will move to LiquidWeb. could you tell me what is your server plan?

  6. I'm on a VPS, but Multisite works fine on their shared hosting too. I had the VPS long after I started Multisiting.
