  • I had the addon pointing to the wrong dir :/
Sometimes you just need to sleep on it.

I’m actually having this same problem. Could you go into a little more detail about what steps you took to fix the problem? Thanks.

I actually went back and deleted my mapping and started again, but I think I know why I was getting an issue. When I set it up I pointed the subdomain to ‘public_html/mysitename.com’. This was wrong. It should have been pointing to the location of the wordpress installation – in my case just public_html. Because it was directed incorrectly, when it went looking for the new location it defaulted to where the site used to be located, a folder called ‘mysitename.com’ in the main directory – That is why I got a bank page with directories as opposed to a 404 error. Does that make sense?

    Awesome, thanks for the help!

If you are having major issues, just detail them and I will respond. I spent the last 2-days learning from scratch about mutisites and setting them up so it is pretty fresh.
