• Hi everyone,

I’m quite confused about one major point of WordPress :
Do we have the possibility to add classes/div in our code that would be altered by someone else in a basic wordpress-interface ?

As a web developper usually working with HTML/CSS, I’d like to offer the ability to my customers to easily edit the website I provided them (built with HTML/CSS based on a personal mockup).
    Would that be possible ?

Thank you for your help !
(Sorry for bad english, french guy here.)

When you host your website on wordpress.com you have access to an interface that provides you access over style and content of the website.

Can I host my website by myself by downloading wordpress.org files and still have access to a “wordpress user interface” ?

If so, can I code my website as I would normally do (personal PSD model + HTML/CSS) and tag elements in my code with div/classes for future modification (mostly adding content that keeps the “style” I established for the tagged content) through the interface ?

Tell me if not clear enough.
