# wordpress migration

 * Hi,
    What would be the best way to migrate WordPress environment from Windows
   7 to Mac 10.9.4? I have a theme started from scratch (settings, plugins etc..)

 * Are you talking about a local install of WordPress on the Mac? If so you will
   want to install MAMP and then install wordpress. Once you have a verified WordPress
   install running, I’d use BackupBuddy (a paid plugin) to backup the entire site
   on teh windows machine (DB and all files) then migrate it to the Mac.
 * If the site is on a remote host, there is no migration necessary.
