WordPress menu items, Woocommerce categories and Tags disappeared

I’ve googled everything and completely boggled by this.
Friend’s shop product categories & tags have disappeared, and I can’t recreate them. Everytime I create a category, as soon the page is refreshed it’s gone again. Its the same for tags and menu items. I’m adding a video to explain.

According to the site owner nothing was changed on the site before this started happening. The hosting company restored a backup from before the problem happened, was fine for a few hours and now back to the same issue.
I’ve tried updating, deactivating all plugins, switched back to the base WP theme – no difference. Does anyone have any clue what this could be related to? Thank you so much, really appreciate any help.

Have you asked that question to your hosting provider?
Meanwhile, install the plugin Wordfence plugin and scan your site.
