 * I am looking for a good wordpress medieval theme.
    I tried searching here but
I guess I put in the wrong search keys. Can anyone suggest a good wordpress medieval
   theme?

 * Here’s a couple. Try using Google Image search, it’s pretty easy to find things
   that way.

 * Zeaks, compare those to these and tell me what you think?

 * The artist CHARGES for this theme. I contacted him and he offered a discount
   but no free version.
 * To me, the free ones you suggest just don’t cut it. So I am stuck.

 * You’re comparing a paid theme to free themes. Usually premium themes look better
   than free ones.
 * “midevil” isn’t much to go on. Is the site about a particular game or content?
 * Here’s another one [http://www.schulte-design.com/casdah-theme/](http://www.schulte-design.com/casdah-theme/)
it’s free and pretty nice looking. Take off the Warcraft stuff and add your own
images and you have a generic “midevil” theme.
 * To be honest, I think I know what you’re looking for as I’ve searched for the
same for my Warcraft site a few years. For some reason there are not many themes
that fit into that category unless you want to fork out money.

 * I do not understand the logic behind a payed wordpress theme. With other Content
Management Systems, the themes are free advertisements for professional work.
Themes and styles are a means for artists and developers to showcase their work.
 * If only the worthwhile themes have to be paid for, this only creates agatation
and a desire for webmasters to go off and create their own themes using existing
   paid themes as “inspiration”/

 * There are lots of awesome free themes, some that are even better than premium
   ones.
 * You say with other CMS themes are free advertising for professional work? I’m
not sure what that means. Just because soem designers have themes for sale, doesn’t
mean they don’t have free themes as well. Take a look at WooThemes, lots of free
themes and lots of premium themes.
 * You can always create your own too 😛

 * > I do not understand the logic behind a payed wordpress theme. .
 * The logic is the same as it would be with any other service or product that you
pay for. In most cases, paying for a theme means a design with additional features
and options, premium support, and probably free upgrades for the life cycle of
the theme. Not to mention that some commercial theme creators offer access to
other premium products – such as child themes, or an entire theme library – for
a greatly reduced fee, or many times even for free.

 * While I can appreciate how much of your statement is superficially correct, the
way you’re thinking about it might need consideration.
 * You should by no means confuse the term “worthwhile” with the terms custom, unique,
or specialized… such as the medieval style theme you’re currently searching for.
Just because a theme is free, does not necessarily mean that it isn’t of the
same quality as a paid theme. Lack of a feature does not mean lack of quality.
 * All free themes by any designer who respects the GPL, and who does not contaminate
their themes with convoluted licensing agreements or encoded spam links, is producing
something that is in essence an “advertisement”, or sample of their work. It’s
also a generous contribution back to the WordPress community. And you get to
use it for free. Just like WordPress.
 * But that doesn’t mean that all WordPress themes (or any other platform) should
   be free.
 * Here’s an article that I think offers some interesting perspective on the subject,
if you are really interested. [http://wpcandy.com/thinks/about-35-dollar-themes](http://wpcandy.com/thinks/about-35-dollar-themes)

 * How do I test multiple wordpress designs?
 * I am going to make my own Medieval WordPress Theme. I have found a few that I
like and what I have decided to do is to borrow from them and make my own. Of
   course, only the free ones.
 * To do this, I am going to have a temporary index page to my web site and have
links to the 4 or 5 themes that I want. I do not want to have to make 5 seperate
database installs. So I am here to ask if anyone knows how do make this sort
   of set up happen?

 * You install alternativ Themes into your WP installtion using FTP = wp-content/
themes then Login to your Dashboard and go to Apperences/Themes – there you can
preview or impliment the themes available //Gazzer
