WordPress logs me out immediately

WordPress version 4.2.4 logs me out immediately. This occurs irregardless of whether I select remember me or not. Logout times are usually on the order of under 60 seconds. The set logout time is 1 day for normal and 1 or 2 weeks for “remember me”.

I am using a non-default user which has been around for around a year. Using the user “admin” is not a good workaround.

My wordpress address url & the site url under Settings>General are identical.

Problem got worse when I upgraded my plugins but from what I’ve read this is not a plugin or a browser problem. Using Google Chrome.
