[resolved] WordPress logs me out after loading dashboard (3 posts)

I've been using WordPress for about a year, but for the past month or so, when I open my dashboard, it appears but subsequent clicks require me to log in again.

Opening my dashboard, it appears fine but when the Jetpack stats widget loads, instead of displaying my stats it displays a login form, and any subsequent clicks also require a log in.

Furthermore, sometimes WordPress logs out midway through editing posts, which means errors when autosaving. I have lost work as a result of this.

It's getting very frustrating. Disabling Jetpack, and any other plugins I have added recently, makes no difference. I've also reset the salt data in wp-config.php. I'm at a loss - what can I do to fix this? Clicking 'Remember Me' doesn't seem to do anything.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

I just tried all of that and still had problems. Then I tried another web browser (I use Firefox) and the problem seemingly went away. It turns out to be a problem with the HTTPS Finder extension, so I've whitelisted my domain.

Thanks for the help anyway, at least I've worked it out!
