  • Is it possible that your web server isn’t able to serve SVG files properly?

    Compare this: http://wordpress.com/wp-admin/images/wordpress-logo.svg?ver=20131107 (showing an image)
    With your version: http://zabaan.com/wp-admin/images/wordpress-logo.svg?ver=20131107 (showing the source code for an SVG)

    I mailed my hosting provider with your message and I just got this reply:

    There is no problem with the svg display.
    You can check it on the below link:

    The link you provided contains some extra characters so you need to remove those to have the image displayed correctly.

    Does this make sense to you? Does it mean that it’s not an SVG file issue?

    Following the link that your hosting provider gave me, I still don’t see an image, but straight-up code:

    <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" version="1.1" id="Layer_1" x="0px" y="0px" width="64px" height="64px" viewBox="0 0 64 64" enable-background="new 0 0 64 64" xml:space="preserve">

    I’ve tried it on various computers and various browsers and the image doesn’t show up — it’s always just the code. I still think that it’s a server configuration issue.

    What do you see when you go to that link?

    Hmm, I can see the image when using Chrome but I just see code when trying it in Safari or Firefox…

    It’s now working in all my browsers, so my hosting provider must have done something server side. Just to confirm, is the image now appearing for you?
