# WordPress Login missing

 * I have just installed WordPress locally on my PC. when I finished installing,
   I got the WordPress login box and was able login to the package. I have tried
   to use the program today and if I goto Localhost/sitename I get a sample page
   with no Dashboard with a sample page which is not editable. I think that when
   I type the sitename ([http://localhost/sitename](http://localhost/sitename)) 
   it should show the login screen.
 * I have created a Virtualhost with the sitename would this be why it fails?
 * Help would be appreciated as I am relatively new to WordPress

   You should have to create virtual host like this,[http://localhost/sitename](http://localhost/sitename)–
   [http://xyz.com](http://xyz.com)and replace new (domain) one with old (domain)
   one in full database by using plugin or text editor.and then run – [http://xyz.com](http://xyz.com)/
   wp-admin/
