 * Ive just updated my site to 4.8 and the ‘proudly powered by’ is appearing in 
   the middle of the page, any suggestions for removing or moving it?

 * I would suggest disabling the Better WP Security plugin. If you cannot get to
   your dashboard, then you will need to go in through your cPanel file manager 
   at your hosting service and either rename that plugin folder, or delete it from/
   wp-content/plugins/.
