 * I host my own WordPress and have done so for some years now.
 * Yesterday, my host have had to disable feeds on my account after they noticed“
   my account was consuming large amount of CPU time with requests originating from,
   and directed at the local server”, in their own words.
 * They tried to explain further by saying “The requests were coming from the local
   server, so it seemed to be that =he RSS feed was being read by the application
   itself – this is rather o=d as a local application would have better ways of
   accessing the data.”
 * I am not technical so understand very little of this, but I am a bit confused
   as I haven’t changed anything apart for updating some plugins the night before,
   but none which would seem to use feeds.
 * Obviously, I’d like to get in a position where they can turn feeds back on, sooner
   rather than later. Can anyone help with the matter, perhaps by making some suggestions?
 * I would appreciate any help.
 * Thanks
