 * Hi Team,
 * We have wordpress server with firewall restrictions and we like to allow only
   to download wordpress updates and plugins updates using wordpress.org/download
   url.but we couldn’t able to find the exact ip address which requires to download
   updates.so kindly help to get source ips which requires for WordPress updates.
   the specific ips will be whitelisted to download files from WordPress download.

 * The current IP address of WordPress.org is `198.143.164.252`, but this may change
   arbitrarily. Ideally you would be able to use a hostname but I appreciate that
   this is often not possible. You could set a `cron` job to regularly update the
   IP address in your firewall rules if it does change.

 * Hi Daniel,
 * Thanks for your reply. yes, we have whitelisted the above IP’s in our firewall
   and able to update plugins without an issue but while updating WordPress we are
   getting the below error. from a permission perspective, everything looks fine
   and we suspect the firewall is causing this issue. Kindly help
 * 192.0.77.48,198.143.164.250,198.143.164.252 IP’s are already whitelisted in our
   firewall
