Doesn’t look like the nameservers are set to HostGator?

Are you using HostGators 1-click installation? And possibly a temporary domain name?
Thank you, yes I am moving our URL to Hostgator and have applied the 1-click installation from there. I selected WordPress inside Hostgator and used one click.
The domaine name of mtedenvaulting.org is not temporary – but an old name our clubs had for many years on another server. We no longer want to use that server.
My email confirms that WordPress is downloaded and also gives me the admin access details
Okay, so you won’t be able to access the new site on the existing domain name until the nameservers are set to HostGator – see the link I posted above which shows they are set to Network Solutions. You can change the nameserver settings on Network Solutions to HostGator – but those changes can take from several hours up to a couple of days to be fully propagate across the internet. (That’s not a WP thing – just how domain names work.)
BUT HostGator can likely give you a temporary domain name to use to access the new site until the domain name has been switched over. You might, in fact, want to leave it at the existing site until the new one is done – otherwise people will arrive at a site in progress?
** off topic
BTW, this is kinda funny – I live just a few miles away from you in Santa Clara and used to do horse vaulting many years ago (in Woodside) – LOL!
