# WordPress install and blog

 * I currently have an existing website and want to replace it with a WordPress 
   install and new theme so that I can manipulate and build it. My host also offers
   WordPress install via Cpanel……..will this over write the existing? Do I have 
   to delete my current site? I don’t really care………..I want to replace it anyway.

 * you could install wordpress in a test folder then move it when ready

 * be aware when wordpress is put in the root of site, you will need to rename or
   delete the present `index.html` to allow wordpress’ `index.php` to work
