 * Hi
 * I have read the codex about having all the wp files in a folder rather than in
the root directory and its seems straightforward.
 * When the files have been moved do the permalinks stay the same?
 * I.e if in a folder called ‘wordpress’ will the pages show as – mysite.com/about/
   become mysite.com/wordpress/about/ ??
 * The reason I ask is that I have a site that is currently using the root for a
traffic exchange – so I have mysite.com/members.php etc
 * I want to use wordpress for the home page and have wp in its own folder for blogging,
   extra pages etc.
 * Before I try on a live traffic exchange site – Will there be any conflicts such
as wordpress not knowing that mysite.com/members.php is valid and not throw a
   404?
 * Any help and advice is most welcome please

 * No. Pages will retain the mysite.com/about/ syntax. However the urls of Posts
will change to reflect the new /wordpress sub-folder.

 * thanks for the quick reply esmi
 * So if I install in a folder /blog/ all pages will stay the same just the posts
   would have a prefix /blog/
 * So mysite.com/about/ would stay the same whereas mysite.com/2013/06/post
    would
   change to mysite.com/blog/2013/06/post?
 * How could I then access the blog posts? I couldn’t have a page called mysite.
   com/blog/ could I?
