# WordPress import freezes

 * I am importing a 3.2mb xml file into wordpress and the importer seems to freeze.
   I am not sure if I am being too impatient. It has been going for about 30 minutes
   and does not seem to have moved at all.
 * How long should it take to import 3.2mb of xml data?

 * Could just be execution limits or PHP memory too low. You see some of the [common WordPress errors](http://codex.wordpress.org/Common_WordPress_Errors)
   for more info. 30 mins is definitely too long to wait. If you can re-export the
   data again, try limiting to just posts or pages, then import that see if it works.
