    Hi,

I’m having trouble getting this working and I’m not sure why.

I need to make one page of a wordpress installation https. I installed the plugin and clicked “Force SSL” for that particular page but I’m getting an Apache generated 404.

I do not currently have an SSL installed. Will this prevent the plugin from working? I thought at worst it would issue a warning that the page is not secure.

I also have a custom structure for permalinks (/%postname%).

If I turn permalinks to default it no longer 404s but instead redirects to an index.html file under private_html.

Does this mean that wordpress-https will not work with permalinks or is there a setting on my server that I need to look into?

    Thanks in advance

With most hosts there’s an option to have the HTTPS site share the same directory as the HTTP site. I know other users of my plugin have had issues with that. As for the specifics, I can’t say, but hopefully that will help you.
