    Hey all,
I have a blog I want to eventually make bigger and bigger (theblogoftech.net) and currently I’m with GoDaddy, and I notice that my site slows down quite a bit.

I have hard about Vaultpress, websynthesis or WPengine.com

But I am wondering if it’s just better to go with WP engine, and once my traffic climbs, pay the extra amount for a better package to handle the higher amounts of traffic.

    OR

Am I better off with hostgator or bluehost etc, for my own personal “business” needs?.

  • Vaultpress doesn’t host sites. It is basically a backup service, offers other services too, such as security analysis, but not hosting.

IMO, choosing the web host depends on what you expect from them. For example, WPengine or websynthesis doesn’t host emails. Certain hosts do not offer phone support. If you are looking for a custom solution for your blog, you may probably choose a custom server where you could have all the stuff that can make your site, faster and scalable such as nginx, varnish, mod_pagespeed, etc.

We generally close web hosting recommendation requests because they attract so much spam and affiliate marketers. You will be fine using any of the hosts listed at http://wordpress.org/hosting/. I would generally lean towards who has the best support and features. Unlimited domains and bandwidth are not a features. Things like GitHub integration and staging environment are features.
