# WordPress hanging – Can't do anything!

 * Hi,
 * So my website [http://www.mxprecision.co.uk](http://www.mxprecision.co.uk) is
   working ok. I have not logged in for a while but wanted to to change the design
   etc. I logged in and updated everything and now I can’t use my plugins as they
   just hang when I try and edit anything. I have also tried deleting plugins and
   re-installing but I cannot delete them as the delete plugin page just hangs once
   I click ‘yes, delete files’
 * What can I do? It is a very basic website, I have hardly added any content!

 * I have tried different browsers and flushing the cache but it is still not responding.
   I have also tried my other wordpress site which is working fine, using the same
   template and with a lot of content.

 * access your webspace with FTP. Navigate wp-content > themes and rename Zerif 
   lite to _Zerif lite. Second rename plugins to _plugins.
    Wordpress will switch
   automatically to a standard Twenty .. theme. You’ll have access to your admin
   pages.
 * Make sure you download the latest version of your theme, [https://downloads.wordpress.org/theme/zerif-lite.1.8.4.1.zip](https://downloads.wordpress.org/theme/zerif-lite.1.8.4.1.zip)
