• I just updated wordpress and saw that with the next update, Gutenberg is going to be automatically installed. I’m a little concern about that because I’m using WPBakery on a ton of sites and I have the sites designed the way the clients want them decides. PLEASE tell me we are not going to be forced to use Gutenberg. Unless I’m misunderstanding Gutenberg, I will have a ton of site crash at the next update and that would not be good.

Moved to Fixing WordPress, this is not a Developing with WordPress topic.

There’s no reason to assume Gutenberg will crash anything. It’s a replacement for the default editor, which you’re not even using. There’s nothing about Gutenberg or WordPress 5.0 that will force people to stop using any plugins they might be using, but if you’re concerned about WP Bakery’s compatibility with Gutenberg specifically, you should contact its developers and ask them what to expect, or even install the plugin to test it.

You can install and activate the Classic Editor plugin or the Disable Gutenberg plugin.
