# WordPress Gallery Slideshow help

 * I am trying to have a slide show as well as some images on a page, however when
   I add new image to the page it automatically puts the image in the gallery and
   subsequently into the slide show. How do I have images on the same page as the
   slideshow but not have them show up in the slideshow. Hope this makes sense. 
   Help would be great its driving me nuts.

 * Based on what I’ve read about the plugin – only images which are associated with
   the Post or Page are included in the slideshow. Meaning, if you upload the images
   in the Add New Pages or Add New Posts panel, those images will show up in the
   slideshow.
    So then if you upload the images via Dashboard > Media > Add New 
   and then add media and choose the image from the Media Library and insert it 
   to your Post or Page, such image won’t be included in the Slideshow. Try it.

 * Hi thanks for your reply, but we cannot get this to work. My wife and I have 
   both tried to sort it, it really should be easy. I got it to work once following
   your steps and so did my wife, we repeated our steps but the images from the 
   media library end up in the gallery again and again. 7 hours of my life today
   trying to work this out!!! Could you confirm that your instructions work with
   the plugin so I can be sure the error is on my end, thanks again for your help
   appreciate it.
