• I am having trouble with my wp gallery since upgrade wp3.6
My home page is set to wp gallery.
i usually add an image to this gallery for every post i add to my site.
now if i go> adit gally or add to gallery and add an image,

it is not getting updated after clicking update.
    see http://www.recipesaresimple.com

Also through dashboard, i click visit view page to see the live page usually… and then edit page to go back to editing,
Now for the home page, this edit page option is missing. Okay for any other page.
only for http://www.recipesaresimple.com ( the home page with wp gallery) it is not seen now.
Please help. Have been trying to fix it with no progress

    Thanks in advance.

[No bumping. If it’s so urgent that you cannot wait longer than 5 hours on a volunteer-staffed forum, consider hiring someone.]

Thats right it doesn’t work. Thanks I had not noticed.

suspect it may be a theme issue – what theme are you using?

I am using simple catch, I have been using it for a while and i love it.
I tried switching to twenty twelve, but my issue is with the home page and i find that even if i switch themes, the home page is stuck at the simple catch ‘uneditable’ page with no wordpress menu bar on top ( the one that says ‘howdy admin’).
All other pages from my custom menu seem ok and adapt to the changed theme.
The homepage is seemingly locked from access. i had a 2 hour support with my host. they say everything on my files looks okay that it must me a wordpress code issue.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins.
    – switching to the default 2013 theme.
    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

Thank you. I had tried deactivating all plugins to no visible effect. homepage is still the same ‘ stuck’ state.
I tried changing to 2012 theme, and all other pages alter to the new theme except the home page, http://www.recipesaresimple.com which is still at the ‘ stuck’ state in the simple catch layout. i am able to do editing in the dashboard to the page but it does not reflect.
Also please note, i have my home page set to static page , i tried changing to blog page but that does not change anything in the visibility of my home page.

I am trying to re-upload the files and folders as you suggested now. I shall post my update soon. Thanks again.

My browser is Safari, I have done empty cache several times. Is that what you are referring to? I am trying to find the steps to reupload the files and folders from a new copy of wordpress now. Should I use the same 3.6 version or an older version if it is 3.6 that is causing these problems?

is there any simple way to upload the fresh wordpress files excepting th wp-content folder?
The area where these folders lie in public.html contains many other files as well. I am scared it will mess things up further.
ftp has given grief in the past. Is it possible to copy each folder 1 by 1 through cpanel?
i can delete one file as i upload the fresh one thus leaving all those other files untouched? I dont know if i am making sense?

do i keep the wp-config folder or the wp-content folder? I see conflicting threads..

You need to retain both the wp-config file & the wp-content folder. However, first you need to flush your cache.

I have already cleared my cache and even reset my browser.. this has no effect on the homepage.

Not your browser cache. The cache created by the WP-Super-Cache plugin on your site.
