• I’m a nubie (please be gentle) to the WordPress world so please accept my humblest apologies when I get terminology or concepts wrong or messed up.

    I have been trying to build a website with a combination of static pages and posts. I have static pages that have pictures related to a specific topic that point to a post with more pictures and other content where users can leave feedback and comments. Here’s the basic concept:

    Woodworking Projects (static page)
    |
    |–> Furniture (static page with an image Gallery)
    |
    |—-> Coffee Table (gallery image)
    |
    |—> Coffee table with content (post)

    On the static pages I’m trying to use the image Gallery to put all my images in because it keeps them nice an aligned whereas putting images onto the static page they are a jumbled mess with no alignment. For each image in the Gallery, I enter the URL for the post I want the user to go to when they click on the image.

    For some reason, the Gallery always reverts back to the image file link or it creates its own post link. I have tried the link= parameter with no luck.

    Is there a way I can get the image Gallery to keep the links to the post I want the image to link to?

    Thank you,

    Don
