 * Hi there,
    I was trying to add some code into the functions.php file within WordPress
   edit theme area. As soon as I updated the file the whole site bacme invisible,
   including the login area, so I can’t get back in to change it back. I uploaded
   the original functions.php file (pre-install) via ftp, still nothing. is there
   anyway to restore the site without a complete WordPress reinstall? I also tried
   uploading functions.wp-scripts.php and functions.wp-styles.php from another WP
   install, no good. If I do have to reinstall, which folders should I save? Just
   wp-content? And should I just delete WordPress files from the server or is there
   an uninstall procedure? The site is (was) [http://www.vivayouthsingers.com/about](http://www.vivayouthsingers.com/about)(
   the default page for the domain is just a temp landing page, not WP). Thanks
   in advance, Mary Bella

 * Access your server via [FTP or SFTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients),
   navigate to `/wp-content/themes/` and rename the directory of your currently
   active theme. This will force the Default theme (WordPress 1.5 – 2.9.2) or the
   Twenty Ten theme (WordPress 3.0 and higher) to activate and you should be able
   to access your blog and Dashboard again.

 * Bless you! It worked, and I was able to reinstall the Builder theme and my child
   theme is still in tact. All is well. THANK YOU!!!
