# WordPress Forum

 * Is it just my impression or is the search function in these forums weird? It 
   comes up with pages which don’t contain that topic any more. It also list results
   from all over the site, although I would expect only results from that section.
 * I think it’s crap, what do you think?

 * Yup. It’s broke and no one knows when it won’t be broke. It was never very good,
   and yes, now it’s serious crap.
 * Try this: site:wordpress.org/support plus your search terms, in google. And site:
   codex.wordpress.org/ and search terms for the codex.
 * You can also grab FireFox WP search-engine type plugins from [http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/](http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/).
