WordPress for site with more than 50,000 pages & importing html pages

    Would you advise this?

    Is there a better CMS for such a large site?

    Site will include membership section, various forms and pages with many graphics and PDF downloads.

    Company owns server site will be hosted on.

    Would also like to know of tips or techniques to convert or import html pages into WordPress.
