WordPress firing up my server’s CPU usage

  • hiya everyone,

Well i am little tensed with wordpress, for the first time. Everything since 2 years is working fine with wordpress, but suddenly i started getting mails from my hosting service provider that due to my blog, the CPU usage is getting fired up.

CPU usage for the last three days:

        08-29-2008: 371.38%
        08-30-2008: 228.56%
        08-31-2008: 443.69%

My blog also had to face severe downtime for the same reason. I have very normal, small blog and i have not done any kind of customization in the script. It is fully upgraded to the latest 2.6.1 version. What can be the error as such ?

Here is the list of active plugins on my blog
    Akismet
    All in One SEO Pack
    MyDashboard
    Post Notification
    Sociable
    Wp-DBmanager
    Wp Super Cache

Guys any idea on this ?
I installed wp-super-cache just 2 days back, keeping in mind that there may be lotsa hits resulting in high request to server. But it did not help even.

Shall I consider a downgrade, if yes, then how and what version should i downgrade my blog to ? Cause i do not want to lose my posts.

    Thanks & Regards
    Realin !
