Support » Fixing WordPress » WordPress feed points to wrong Feedburner

  • I’m having a problem with Feedburner and my WordPress feed. I’ve changed the Feedburner link to reflect the new name of my blog, and it works fine. This is the new Feedburner link:

    http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheBrewdyBawler

However, if I type in the direct WP feed URL like this:

    http://www.chrisandlydia.net/bawltics/feed

Feedburner points to the old Feedburner URL which is this:

    http://feeds.feedburner.com/Bawltics

Everything is normal in Feedburner. Both the new Feedburner URL and the WP feed URL validate as valid XML and show my posts. I have deleted the plugin in WP that was pointing to the Feedburner account (I was using Feedburner FeedSmith).

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

  • Not familiar with that plugin….does it write to your .htaccess file?

Thanks for replying. I don’t see that there is a .htaccess file for my WP directory.

Really? Are you using custom permalinks at all? If so, you have one (if you are on linux server)

    They are sometimes hidden files….

I actually don’t get forwarded to any feedburner, I see your http://www.chrisandlydia.net/bawltics/feed feed when I visit the link

I’m not using any custom permalinks. I guess it was maybe some kind of DNS refresh issue. It works for me, as well. I wanted to document this, in case someone else comes across a similar issue.

    Thanks for your help, Voodoo.
