wordpress featured image not showing for password protected posts in feed

    Hi,

    I have set up a post as password protected. The issue I am having now is that the featured images for that post (MLC secured site uplift) won’t display on the homepage where I have a blog feed.

    From my research it appears that featured images should not be included in the protected content.

    Can anyone help?

    You are correct, featured images are not part of protected content. However, featured images are not part of the default feed at all. If you are otherwise getting featured images, your feed has been modified by either your theme or a plugin. That modification apparently suppresses featured images when a post is protected. That logic would need modification to work as you want.

    Or you could entirely change which template handles the feed.
