• Hello everyone.

I tried to update WordPress and it Failed. After that my site encountered a critical error. Than I disabled all of the plugins (by renaming the “plugins” folder) and enabled them again. The error appeared again. Than I again disabled them and enabled them one by one. And the error was gone, but the site was ruined and broken. My site showed up just a white screen, and my logo at the top right.

After some examining, I was thinking about the theme Astra, and i tried to go to the customize page, but it showed a critical error. Than I reinstalled Astra but the page is still just showing up a White Screen. What should I do, and if this is not fixable, how can I reinstall WordPress without loosing any data.

    Thanks in advance,
    Sergij Aleksovski.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

Thanks for the fast reply. I’m trying that right now… Should I keep wp-settings.php?

EDIT: Oh that’s a part of the core files, I understand now.

Thank you very much! I fixed my site, regards to you. There are some other things to do but that’s easy.
    Bye.
